Dubai Electricity and Water Authority Signs Partnership Agreements with Government and Business Sector Organizations

Authority Takes Part in Promoting eServices at the GITEX Technology Week As part of its strategic partnership with various organizations in the Emirates, and its continuous efforts to provide top-quality e-services to its partners and customers alike, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority signed two partnership agreements with the Visa and Emirates Identity Authority at the GITEX Technology Week. The event took place at the Dubai eGovernment Stand in the Sheikh Rashid Hall at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The agreement with Emirates Identity Authority was signed by the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at DEWA, Eng. Marwan Bin Haider. On this occasion, Mr. Haider said The main aim of the partnership with Emirates Identity Authority is to raise customer satisfaction to the highest standards through the simplification of our processes, by adopting an accredited source to update customer information. Therefore, the Authority will be using the unified Emirates ID card to update customer details quickly and conveniently, thus saving time and effort. Bin Haider stressed that the detailed information provided by Emirates Identity Authority and tying it with internal electronic services, is consistent with the Authority's vision and provides a complete system through which communication between both sides is facilitated. H.E. Eng.Nasser Mohammed Al Mazroui, Executive Director of Communications and Information Systems at Emirates Identity Authority, said that the signing of the strategic partnership with Dubai Electricity and Water Authority is part of both parties' keenness to form a strong partnership and relationship with each other with the aim of effectively unifying efforts to serve customers of all classes, thus reflecting a positive impact economically and socially. H.E. explained that this strategic partnership comes in the context of many national initiatives that Emirates Identity Authority has implemented through the signing of several Memorandums of Understanding, cooperation and partnership agreements with ministries, institutions and various government bodies, in order to support registration in the Population Register and Emirates Identity Card. As part of the Save Your Time, Save Your Energy ePay campaign, which encourages customers to pay their bills online through the DEWA website to win various exciting prizes, (like, a laptop every day and a car every three months), Eng. Marwan Bin Haider, Vice President and Chief Information Officer, DEWA, signed a partnership agreement with Visa, the world's leading payment network. Customers who use their Visa cards to pay their bills through the DEWA website or through mPay enter raffle draws to win FIFA hospitality tickets to the World Cup tournaments. The agreement was signed by Norliza Kassim, Visa's Head of Regional Marketing, Middle East and North Africa. H.E. Al Tayer said: The signing of these agreements go hand in hand with the Authority's philosophy to promote eservices and raise its awareness among our consumers, in addition to benefiting from the latest technological achievements to develop and enhance the Authority's vision. These recent agreements follow a series of previous strategic agreements signed by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority and various authorities, organizations and establishments in Dubai, among which is Dubai eGovernment and others.
