In line with its strategic plan to deliver the best services to its customers in compliance with up-to-date world practices so as to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority presented its Strategic Plan 2011 – 2015 to key suppliers, consultants and contractors during a meeting dedicated for this occasion held at Grand Hyatt Hotel – Dubai. This meeting was attended by His Excellency Saeed Mohamed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, Nasser Lootah, EVP – Power Generation Division, Waleed Salman, EVP – Strategy & Business Development Division, Dr Yousef Al Akraf, EVP – Business Support, Rashid Humaidan, EVP – Power Distribution, Khalid Al Khaja, EVP- Projects & Engineering Division, Marwan bin Haidar, VP – Head of IT Department, Abdullah Al Aghbary, VP – Distribution Planning, top officials of DEWA as well as representatives of key suppliers, consultants’ and contractors. His Excellency Saeed Mohamed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA said in his speech delivered during the occasion : “In line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, aiming to strengthen and consolidate Dubai’s leading position as a world for finance, business and tourism, DEWA is relentlessly working to achieve the strategy of the Government of Dubai .” “Strategy is the cornerstone of our success and the means by which we can achieve our vision to be recognized world-class utility. At DEWA, we have continued our intense focus on ensuring that our foresight and strategic planning are fully utilized and implemented to achieve this vision,” His Excellency further added. “We are here today to present our strategy and you are welcome to give your inputs and feedback, in order to ensure better communication based on transparency and exchange of ideas,” His Excellency pointed out. His Excellency Saeed Mohamed Al Tayer gave instructions to study and implement all the best and constructive suggestions and opinions. During the meeting, DEWA’s Strategy 2011-2015, which comprise some major elements, was presented by the Strategy Team. These elements include: getting customers’ satisfaction, promoting Dubai’s vision through delivering electricity and water services at high level of reliability, efficiency, safety with a competent manpower and efficient partnerships so as to promote the sustainability of resources for generations to come. The team has illustrated the most important tracks including integrity, fairness, transparency, team work, industry leadership, professionalism, corporate social responsibility, and customer focus. At the end of the ceremony, His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer honoured the representatives of suppliers, consultants and contractors for their efforts and their proper implementation of businesses and projects delegated to them.
