General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs delegates visit DEWA

The meeting discussed joint cooperation and exchange of expertise in eServices In a joint effort to boost the exchange of expertise among government departments, Eng. Marwan Bin Haider, VP-CIO of IT Division in Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), has welcomed a delegation from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) led by Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Nasser Abdul Razzaq, Assistant Director General of Electronic Services. The visit aimed at sharing expertise between the two departments and closely highlighted DEWA's pioneer achievements in the field of eServices. During the visit, DEWA provided a detailed presentation on the work practices, their methods of application, and the evaluation and development methods that DEWA implements. Additionally, the presentation highlighted the latest achievements that are in line with its vision as a world-class sustainable utility, by establishing a business model that provides top-notch services according to the best global practices. The meeting also shed light on the applications of smart phones and devices and their role in delivering the best reliable services and explained the need to provide high flexibility to meet today's growing requirements through facilitating and simplifying procedures aiming to achieve optimum levels of customer satisfaction. DEWA has always been keen to share expertise with different local and global organizations to keep abreast of all the latest developments in the field of IT while aiming to provide top-quality services for residential and business sectors, a step which is a crucial pillar to ensure the success of DEWA as a sustainable world-class utility. Marwan Bin Haider, DEWA's VP,-CIO of IT Division. At the end of the visit, souvenir gifts were exchanged, and the GDRFA’s delegates were honored by Eng. Bin Haider. Moreover, the delegation praised DEWA's unprecedented achievements and firm commitment to adopt the best international practices, and expressed their admiration of its relentless efforts to incessantly upgrade its services. DEWA is implementing a strategic plan aimed at reinforcing the vision of Dubai e-Government through supporting eAdoption across all government entities and encouraging the use of the eGate. Additionally, DEWA is focusing on optimizing and upgrading its services while motivating its employees so as to achieve excellent operational performance levels.
