Dubai Smart Government honours DEWA

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), was honoured by Dubai Smart Government (DSG) for its effective and successful participation in GITEX 2014. DEWA was honoured in the categories of Best Entity Participating in the Stand, and Best Working Team Coordinating with DSG. The ceremony was attended by HE Ahmad Bin Humaidan, Director General of Dubai Smart Government, and representatives from government organisations and the media. “We are proud to be honoured by Dubai Smart Government, which reflects our committed efforts, and the success of our collaboration with other government organisations which participated at GITEX 2014, to offer integrated services to serve our customers better. Our participation at DSG’s stand underlines our commitment to achieving the vision of our wise leadership to enhance joint operations amongst all government organisations through communication, ongoing development and modernisation, to provide quality world-class services in Dubai,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA. “Our participation as part of DSG’s stand at GITEX provided a positive and real image of government integration. It also contributed to the success of government efforts to achieve service unification and integration,” added Al Tayer. “These awards highlight the efforts and achievements of DEWA to provide high-level smart services, and underline its commitment to achieving the aspirations and happiness of its customers and partners,” concluded Al Tayer. “DEWA’s stand, which was part of DSG’s stand at GITEX, attracted a large number of visitors. The technologies we highlighted touched on many aspects of users’ lives. Our smart services enable customers to complete all their transactions easily, conveniently, and securely,” said Moza Al Akraf, Acting CIO of DEWA.
