The visit is part of field visits by the Saudi delegation to a number of UAE organisations including Ministry of Energy, RSB for Electricity and Water, the Environment Agency–Abu Dhabi, and the Regulation & Supervision Bureau of Abu Dhabi. It also reviews the latest technologies used for conserving water, and related regulations and legislations in the UAE, in addition to learning about the roles assigned to related organisations and how coordination among them is carried out. Al Muhairbi welcomed the delegation and emphasised the importance of strengthening cooperation with Saudi organisations. He noted that Dubai Supreme Council of Energy works with all stakeholders to achieve the goals of the Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy 2030, to reduce energy demand by 30% by 2030. The delegation reviewed Dubai’s experience in regulating and supervising the electricity and water sector. It underlined the role legislations play in reducing use of natural resources, and enhancing the sustainable development. At the end of the visit, the Saudi delegation thanked Al Muhairbi and Al Owais for the warm welcome, and for the opportunity to review the plans and work mechanisms of both the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and RSB.
