The Women's Committee at Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organised a visit for female staff to Dubai Frame, one of Dubai’s key new tourist attractions. This supports the committee’s efforts to promote positive interaction and social cohesion among female employees. Over 50 female staff from all DEWA’s sectors took part in the trip.
Fatima Mohammed Al Jokar, Chairperson of DEWA Women's Committee, emphasised the Committee’s keenness to organise such activities that achieve many objectives, most notably enhancing national identity, promoting loyalty and belonging, and boosting social cohesion among female employees.
“These social activities support DEWA's strategy to provide a happy, positive, and motivating work environment, as well as enhance women's roles and empower them in all fields. Such recreational trips are an integral part of the social activities of the Women’s Committee. These contribute to achieving a balance between the professional and social lives of female staff as well as promote loyalty, cohesion, and happiness,” added Al Joker.
The female staff who went on the trip expressed their happiness at visiting such an astonishing cultural and tourist landmark, which introduces visitors to Dubai’s history through its three parts: past, present and future Dubai. Participants commended the Committee’s efforts in organising activities that enhance social interaction with their colleagues from different sectors and departments.
