Dubai Quality Group honours DEWA for sponsoring Emirates Women Award

Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports,  and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, and Honorary Patron of Dubai Quality Group; the Group honoured Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) for being the Main Sponsor of the 16th Emirates Women Award. The event was attended by HH Sheikh Tahnoon bin Khalifa Al Nahyan; Hassan Omar, Chairman of Dubai Quality Group, and a number of women leaders and officials. Fatima Al Jokar, Chairperson of DEWA Women’s Committee, received the award on behalf of DEWA.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, noted that DEWA’s sponsorship of the Emirates Women Award is in line with its strategy to support national events that empower women and promote their social participation and contribution to the business environment and sustainable development of the UAE.

“DEWA’s sponsorship of the Emirates Women Award supports its strategy to promote the participation of women in all development areas and highlights their contribution to society’s development and prosperity. By participating in such activities, we also provide an interactive platform for our female staff to exchange knowledge and expertise and acquire new skills that contribute to developing their personal and professional capabilities,” said Al Tayer.

Al Jokar commended the prestigious award, which recognises the effective role of women and their contribution towards UAE society and for recognising Emirati and expatriate women who have excelled in their respective fields. The award also highlights women who are role models for the next female generation to inspire them to achieve their potential in the future.
