“The approval by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, of Dubai’s three-year AED196 billion budget, from 2020 to 2022, confirms the efficiency of the Government and Dubai’s sound financial policies. It also underlines the economic prosperity of Dubai and the confidence it enjoys among global investors, as well as the continuous growth that supports the business sector and helps attract investment. Approving the AED66.4 billion budget for 2020, the largest in Dubai’s history, emphasises the commitment of our wise leadership to taking care of the people as the cornerstone of sustainable development. It also highlights Dubai Government’s intent to focus on government excellence, creativity, innovation, and scientific research, in addition to building a state-of-the-art infrastructure that supports the Dubai Plan 2021 to make Dubai be the preferred place to live, work, and visit. It also will achieve the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to host the best world Expo in the exhibition’s history in Dubai in 2020,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.
