Rammas provides multiple services by DEWA and answers enquiries in English and Arabic. It is available round the clock on DEWA’s smart app and website, as well as its Facebook page, Amazon’s Alexa, Google Home, robots, and WhatsApp Business platform on 04 601 9999. DEWA is the first government organisation in the UAE to have a verified WhatsApp Business account. Rammas answered more than 4.5 million enquiries since its inception in January 2017 until the end of February 2021, including 248,000 responses through WhatsApp. It completed more than 6,000 bill payment transactions during the same period. DEWA also won the AI Breakthrough Awards 2020 in the Transactional Robotics Innovation category for Rammas.
