As a socially responsible government organisation, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) announced its platinum sponsorship of the 24th Dubai International Holy Quran Award. This is part of its efforts to enhance Dubai’s position as a cultural and humanitarian global hub. The award is one of the most prestigious awards and competitions in Holy Quran worldwide, as every year, it brings together an array of scholars, preachers, and Quran reciters.

“DEWA strives to sponsor the Dubai International Holy Quran Award launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. It has become one of the most prominent international awards for spreading Islamic culture and encouraging the next generation to memorise the Holy Quran. At DEWA, we are proud to sponsor this global event and always contribute to promoting the Islamic and civilised side of the UAE in addition to highlighting its excellence in serving the Holy Quran and its science. This event also underlines the UAE’s role in serving the Islamic nation, consolidating Islam's noble values; the religion of love, justice, tolerance and equality,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.

“We praise the efforts of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award team which resulted in making this Award one of the key social, cultural, and religious initiatives that present an authentic image of Islam as a moderate and tolerant religion, promoting peace and coexistence between cultures, religions and civilisations,” added Al Tayer.
