HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD&CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), welcomed HE Ambassador Saud Hasan Al Nusuf, Consul General of Bahrain to Dubai and the Northern Emirates. This was an introductory visit after HE Al Nusuf assumed his new position.
Al Tayer welcomed the new Consul General wishing him success in his new diplomatic mission; emphasising DEWA’s keenness to consolidate cooperation and joint work with all diplomatic and consular missions in the UAE.
Al Tayer showcased DEWA’s ambitious initiatives and leading innovative development projects to achieve the vision and directives of the wise leadership. He noted DEWA’s goal to expand clean energy projects and increase the use of the Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, digitisation, promoting world-class infrastructure, the highest standards of reliability, efficiency and availability, and accelerating investments in disruptive technologies.
Al Tayer noted that DEWA works to promote the renewable energy sector in line with the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050 to provide 100% of Dubai’s total power capacity from clean energy sources by 2050. This enhances sustainability, reinforces a happy society, as well as achieves the aspirations of the citizens and residents of Dubai in accordance with DEWA’s vision to be a globally leading sustainable innovative corporation.
