Today, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) observed Commemoration Day. DEWA’s employees, led by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD&CEO of DEWA, Executive Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, and DEWA officials, observed a minute of silence at 11:30 am. They prayed to Allah almighty for the UAE martyrs to dwell in heaven and for the bereaved families to be given patience and solace. They also asked Allah to continue to protect the UAE and maintain its security, safety, and prosperity. HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer raised the UAE flag while the National Anthem was played.

“On Commemoration Day, we pay tribute to the martyrs whose sacrifices represent the noblest examples of loyalty and courage in order to protect the UAE. On this glorious day, we remember the blessings of security, stability, and welfare that Allah Almighty has bestowed upon us. We strive to protect our gains, guided by the vision of the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. We are also guided by the memory of the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their souls to defend the flag of the Union. May Allah give peace to the souls of our martyrs, and continue to protect the UAE and its people,” said Al Tayer.

DEWA’s staff emphasised that the stories of the nation’s martyrs will continue to be an inspiring beacon for patriotism and belonging to the good land of the UAE. They also emphasised that they stand behind the wise leadership to answer the nation’s call of duty at any time in gratitude for the martyrs who sacrificed their souls to maintain the UAE’s strength and prosperity.
