Their sacrifices reflect the noblest values of patriotism, giving and dedication to the love of the homeland and defending its highest interests. They have penned the most remarkable stories of heroism and redemption. They ensured the Union flag flutters high, under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. They also consolidated the strength, progress and leadership of the UAE. On this glorious day, we lift our heads high in honour and pride, remembering our heroic martyrs whose memories are ingrained in our hearts and will remain throughout the generations. We also pay tribute to our armed forces, the fortress of the UAE, and we salute the families of the martyrs who gave the UAE the joy of their lives and set the most incredible role models for courage, patriotism and belonging. We pray to Allah Almighty, to bless the nation’s martyrs and provide solace for their families.
