In line with its efforts to promote the National identity among female staff, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) Women's Committee organised an artistic workshop inspired by the local heritage, to enhance the skills of female employees on the art of making perfumes and pottery.

“The Women's Committee supports DEWA’s efforts to empower women, consolidate the national identity, and shed light on the Emirati culture and the authentic values of Emirati society. With the support of DEWA’s top management, the Committee organises awareness events, activities and lectures. These enhance the positive and motivating work environment, strengthen the bonds among female employees, and help them achieve a balance between their professional and social lives. These activities also support them to raise a responsible generation that cherishes the national identity and is keen to preserve our authentic heritage, to continue the path of sustainable development,” said Fatima Al Jokar, Chairperson of DEWA’s Women Committee.

Aysha Al Asam, Vice Chairperson of DEWA’s Women Committee, noted that the Women's Committee provides the necessary support to women in general and Emirati women in particular, to unleash their talents and abilities for innovation and creativity, and enhance their job loyalty. This enhances their happiness and the happiness of their families.
