Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA)’s Women's Committee participated in the Women's Forum Global Meeting 2022, which was held in Paris, France. Delegates from 172 countries and successful and inspiring businesswomen from around the world took part in the Meeting to exchange knowledge and expertise in women empowerment and their role in achieving the sustainable development.

“The work of the Women's Committee is not limited to internal activities and events. We participate in local and international activities, to exchange experiences and knowledge, consolidate bilateral cooperation, and keep pace with the latest developments to promote women's participation in the sustainable development. DEWA provides equal opportunities for men and women, which has made it a role model for government and private organisations in women empowerment,” said Fatima Al Jokar, Chairperson of DEWA’s Women Committee.

DEWA plays a pivotal role in supporting the ‘National Strategy for Empowerment of Emirati Women’, activating the role of women, refining their capabilities, and increasing their participation in the productive and operational sectors as well as in the decision-making process. DEWA provides a positive and motivating work environment that supports women in the workplace and helps them balance their professional and social lives. It also grants them the full confidence to harness their scientific and practical potential to achieve more success and excellence.
