DEWA organises a hiking & kayaking trip in Hatta for its employees

For the third year in a row, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organised a hiking trip to Hatta for 13 kilometres. Trained mountain guides with First Aid certificates led the expedition for 177 employees. The trip also included kayaking and a traditional Emirati lunch amid nature at the old Hatta fields.

DEWA attaches great importance to making sporting activities and exercising a way of life and a daily routine that contributes to improving the health of society members and promoting happiness and positive energy. We encourage our staff to make sports an integral part of their lives as it promotes a healthy and vibrant lifestyle as well as fosters social networking and communication among employees. This is done in the framework of the sporting spirit that characterises the events held in Dubai.

DEWA praised the employees’ increasing interest in sports activities and events organised by DEWA, and their keenness to balance work and social life. This also enhances their happiness and ignites the positive energy of employees and consolidates friendly relations.
