DEWA promotes environmental awareness at Modhesh World

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has successfully concluded its participation in Modhesh World 2023, held at Dubai World Trade Centre. DEWA’s awareness and entertainment activities and competitions attracted many children and adults. The activities highlighted ways to adopt a responsible and sustainable lifestyle, enhance the efficiency of electricity and water consumption, and maintain natural resources. This can be achieved by following simple daily steps, such as using sustainable tools, limiting the use of plastic, reusing and recycling it. In line with the Year of Sustainability in the UAE held under the theme ‘Today for Tomorrow’, DEWA organised several activities that highlight its efforts to ensure a brighter and more sustainable future for current and future generations.

In a fun-filled atmosphere, DEWA’s cartoon characters, Noor and Hayat, that represent electricity and water presented various interactive shows on Modhesh World’s main stage, which garnered great appeal and admiration from children.

DEWA’s ‘Noor and Hayat Adventures’ animated series is available on DEWA’s YouTube channel (DEWAOfficial) and website (www.dewa.gov.ae). The series aims to raise environmental awareness among children and encourage them to limit waste of electricity and water.
