The 25th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) and Dubai Solar Show (DSS) is all set to kick off tomorrow (Wednesday, 15 November 2023). Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is organising WETEX and DSS 2023, under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, from 15 to 17 November 2023 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) under the theme “At the forefront of sustainability.”

"DEWA organises WETEX and Dubai Solar Show annually in line with our commitment to the vision of the wise leadership to enhance sustainable development and support the global sustainability efforts and consolidate Dubai’s position as a leading global hub for clean energy and green economy. The exhibition is a leading global platform that witnesses this year the participation of 2,575 companies from 62 countries. It includes 24 international pavilions from 16 countries. The exhibition focuses on the sectors of water, energy, clean and renewable energy, smart technologies, and innovation, among others. It provides a leading platform for partnerships and cooperation opportunities in various sustainability sectors with the participation of prominent international companies, decision-makers, and specialists from the government and private sectors. This year’s edition of WETEX and DSS holds great importance as it paves the way for DEWA’s participation in the upcoming global events including COP28, which will be hosted by the UAE at Expo City Dubai,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, Founder and Chairman of WETEX and Dubai Solar Show.

Al Tayer highlighted that WETEX and DSS 2023 coincides with the launch of the inaugural Middle East and North Africa Solar Conference (MENA SC), the first specialised conference of its kind in the region. DEWA is organising MENA SC from 15 to 18 November 2023 with the participation of prominent global experts and speaker to present and discuss the latest updates in the sector of future solar energy, which supports the sustainability goals.

WETEX and DSS extends over 78,000 square metres in multiple halls at DWTC, including Sheikh Rashid hall, Sheikh Saeed halls 1, 2, and 3, Sheikh Maktoum hall, Arena halls 1 and 2, as well as halls 1 to 8. In addition to showcasing the latest technologies and developments in water, clean and renewable energy, sustainability, and innovation, WETEX and DSS 2023 feature many specialised programmes, platforms, and seminars over the exhibition’s three days, by prominent experts, specialists and officials from major global companies. Renewables and Sustainability Seminars: Experts and innovators will discuss renewable energy sources that will highlight the urgency and ways for communities to transition towards a green future.

Education & Innovation Zone: It hosts discussion panels and interactive workshops to exchange insights and knowledge on various topics, including innovative solutions to achieve net zero, the future of mobility, empowering the next generation of climate leaders, climate change, sustainability, and more.

Energy Platform: At this platform, attendees can anticipate insights into the future of diversified energy solutions, pushing the narrative for local adoption of energy sources like solar and wind.

Water Platform: Leading organisations and companies will discuss the latest innovations and technologies in the sustainable management of water.

Innovators Lab: The Innovators Lab aims to empower entrepreneurs; enhance communication with investors, banks, and free zones; strengthen collaboration and partnerships; and exchange knowledge and experiences.

B2B & B2G Meetings: Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Government (B2G) meetings are an ideal opportunity for businesses to maximise the impact of their participation, make high-quality business connections, and find new customers and potential partners.
