"Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA)’s top management spares no effort in supporting DEWA’s Youth Council. This support elevates the council's effective role, expands the scope of its work, and enables it to perform its duties efficiently. Through this support, the council assists DEWA in achieving the vision of the wise leadership and the National Youth Agenda 2031. It accelerates national initiatives targeting youth, provides opportunities for youth in climate action, and serves as a platform for them to convey their voices and innovative solutions to accelerate the energy transition and achieve net zero, anticipating and shaping a sustainable future. Thanks to DEWA’s continuous support, the Council enhances youth awareness, qualifies them, empowers their technical skills, and provides them with the necessary tools and skills to be the cornerstone of sustainable and comprehensive development. The Youth Council works closely with national youth councils and local and international institutions to invest in the talents and energies of the youth, enhancing their productivity across all development sectors. We aim to consolidate their positive participation in enhancing DEWA’s excellence and the UAE’s competitiveness in all areas," said Aysha Mohammad Alremeithi, DEWA’s Youth Council President.

"From October 2019 until July 2024, DEWA’s Youth Council organised 74 events, 23 awareness sessions, and 5 educational trips and field visits. It also participated in 9 international forums and conferences and conducted 12 benchmarking events. Moreover, several Council members participated in 3 national and international programs in 2023. Additionally, the Council launched many initiatives and more than 10 communication platforms for its youth employees," added Alremeithi.
