DEWA’s stand at GITEX Global highlights its efforts to support new digital future for Dubai

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) stand at GITEX Global highlights its innovative digital initiatives, advanced technologies, solutions, and efforts to support Dubai’s new digital future. The stand also showcases projects and solutions from the subsidiaries of Digital DEWA, DEWA’s digital arm, that incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. These subsidiaries include Data Hub Integrated Solutions (Moro), Infra X and Digital X.

“DEWA continues to adopt the Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies and artificial intelligence, adopting the latest solutions and best technologies across its various internal and external operations. DEWA’s state-of-the-art digital infrastructure became a role model in resilience, reliability, and digital security. We continue our efforts to support the UAE Digital Government Strategy 2025 and Dubai's Economic Agenda (D33) to be prepared for the digital age. This promotes the digital economy and empowers the digital community. It also advances our journey to exceed the expectations of the stakeholders and improve their happiness. We are harnessing the latest disruptive technologies to enhance the quality of life, achieve net zero, and solidify our position among the innovative and pioneering utilities worldwide. Digital DEWA has positioned DEWA as the world's first digital utility, utilizing autonomous systems for renewable energy, storage, expanding AI adoption, and delivering digital services. Through Digital DEWA, we disrupt the entire business of public utilities,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.

DEWA’s stand highlights solutions, technologies and projects categorised under key areas, including AI, cyber security, the metaverse, Big Data, the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, cloud services, smart cities, digital platforms and connectivity. The stand underlines a number of projects and initiatives including the Smart App on Apple Vision Pro, Generative AI for the mobile workforce, the Cybersecurity Architecture Framework Project, the quadruped robot for mapping, the Substation Feeder Simulator, the Actual Load Profiles Estimator, Cable Lifecycle Ageing Management, the Smart Power Plant, AI-powered Anomaly Detection in underground cables, and DEWA’s Space D programme as well as other new projects.

Moreover, the stand showcases Digital DEWA’s projects and the project of its subsidiaries. Moro Hub presents Location of Things solutions, advanced technologies, GIS solutions, Green Data Centres and cloud services, cyber security service, the Smart Cities and IoT Hub, the Integrated Physical Security Platform, and digital assets and solutions. Meanwhile, Infra X offers wide-area network (WAN) and managed connectivity solutions, while Digital X highlights digital assets and solutions.

Visitors have a chance to win valuable prizes at DEWA’s stand during the exhibition, which is held from 14 to 18 October 2024. DEWA’s stand, A10, in hall H17 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, hosts many interactive activities and draws.
