Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) | Emirates Energy Award 2025 Supports Sustainability Technologies at GITEX Global 2024

His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and Chairman of the Emirates Energy Award, affirmed the Award's support for the efforts of GITEX Global 2024 as the goals of the event align with those of the Emirates Energy Award 2025, which promotes the transformation of institutions and companies towards a greener future by adopting sustainable technologies. The award aims to highlight the importance of sustainable technological innovations and their pivotal role in reducing carbon emissions and enhancing energy efficiency, in line with the UAE's goal of achieving Net-Zero emissions by 2050.

His Excellency Saeed Al Tayer stated: “We work in alignment with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai to adopt sustainable technologies in the UAE. The Emirates Energy Award is in harmony with the objectives of the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and Dubai Net-Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050 aiming for 100% clean energy production capacity by 2050. GITEX exhibition provides a significant opportunity to support the use of innovative technologies that contribute to reducing emissions and improving energy efficiency. Through the award, we aim to motivate institutions, companies, and innovators to adopt modern technological solutions to ensure a sustainable future for us and generations to come.”
