DEWA highlights sustainability and preservation as it celebrates World Water Day at Dubai Club for People of Determination

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) celebrated World Water Day, held this year under the theme ‘Water brings us together’, by organising a special event at the Dubai Club for People of Determination. The event highlighted the importance of sustainability and protection of natural resources, and raised the awareness of club members and employees on their role in protecting the environment. DEWA also launched an awareness campaign on its internal and external platforms and an interactive competition on its social media channels to encourage employees and stakeholders to adopt a sustainable lifestyle.

“We support national efforts to enhance the contributions of all community members in advancing sustainable development, increasing the efficiency of electricity and water consumption, and reducing the carbon footprint. Through our innovative digital services and community initiatives, we are motivating stakeholders to bring about positive change that drives climate action. In addition, as a socially responsible and People-of-Determination inclusive organisation, DEWA continues to launch, implement and sponsor inspiring and practical initiatives to raise the awareness of People of Determination about the impact of climate change on water resources and the environment, enabling them to play their role in protecting the environment on an equal basis with others,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.
