The Dubai Press Club (DPC), organiser of the Arab Media Summit (AMS) 2025, today announced that the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is the Strategic Sustainability Partner of the event. Organised under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Middle East’s largest media thought leadership platform will be held from 26-28 May.

The Summit serves as the umbrella for key events and initiatives organised by the Dubai Press Club focused on knowledge exchange and dialogue in the media industry, including the Arab Media Forum (AMF), the Arab Youth Media Forum (AYMF), and the Arab Social Media Influencers Summit (ASMIS).

The prestigious media event, to be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, will draw prominent political figures, writers, thought leaders, opinion-makers, renowned media personalities and senior executives of leading Arab and international media organisations. The Summit will also feature the participation of inspiring Arab personalities in various fields, successful young content creators and digital storytellers and global media industry leaders.

His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, said: “In line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, who has consistently highlighted the vital role of media in fostering creativity and promoting a positive outlook, our participation in the Arab Media Summit as Strategic Sustainability Partner reflects our commitment to these values. Dubai is not merely a city that hosts leading media institutions; it is a global hub for innovation and creative excellence. We firmly believe in the media’s pivotal role in advancing sustainable development, showcasing key economic and social milestones, raising awareness of pressing environmental and developmental issues, and the latest disruptive technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and investment in artificial intelligence technologies to enhance sustainable growth. Our sponsorship also underscores our longstanding partnership with the Dubai Press Club and our shared commitment to supporting national initiatives that strengthen Dubai and the UAE’s leadership across diverse sectors.”

Al Tayer added: “The Arab Media Summit serves as a vital platform for exploring the evolving media landscape and identifying factors that will shape the future of the industry through meaningful dialogue among media practitioners, decision-makers and thought leaders. It also provides young media professionals with a space to present their ideas and innovations, contributing to the advancement of Arab media. Through our participation, we aim to strengthen partnerships with local, regional and international media. We consider the media a key partner in DEWA’s growth and development, as well as an integral part of our efforts to promote sustainability, energy transition, climate action and a green economy.”

Her Excellency Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, and President of the Dubai Press Club, expressed her appreciation to HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer and the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority for supporting initiatives that underscore Dubai’s commitment to strengthening media development both regionally and globally. She highlighted DEWA as a leading example of how national institutions recognise the strategic role of media and remain committed to strengthening its impact in support of sustainable development goals.

“We are pleased to renew our partnership with DEWA as Strategic Sustainability Partner of the Arab Media Summit 2025. This collaboration supports our shared vision to empower the media sector and reinforces the Summit’s role as the region’s most prominent platform for dialogue and knowledge exchange.”

Her Excellency added that DEWA’s pioneering role in sustainability reflects Dubai’s commitment to transforming sustainability principles into measurable achievements. She added that Dubai continues to make tangible progress in clean energy, environmental protection and responsible energy use—key pillars of a thriving, modern society.

Maryam Al Mulla, Acting Director of the Dubai Press Club, said: “Our partnership with a globally recognised institution like the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority adds real value to the Summit and supports its goals, especially in highlighting the media’s role in shaping the future of our societies. Sustainability is now central to development agendas across the world, and Dubai has led the way through DEWA’s landmark projects in clean energy and its efforts to promote a culture of environmental responsibility. Through this partnership, we aim to broaden the positive impact of our shared efforts and maximise their benefit to the wider community.”
