The Sustainability and Innovation Centre of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has opened registration for the fifth batch of the CleanTech Youth Programme. The programme aims to attract young and innovative Emirati energy leaders to enhance their knowledge of clean and renewable energy, as well as foster their entrepreneurial skills and encourage their participation in accelerating climate action. The programme includes workshops, educational sessions and field tours, bringing together experts, scientists and pioneers in the field of clean technology.
The CleanTech Youth Programme is part of DEWA’s initiatives to empower Emirati youths and prepare them to be the next generation of sustainability leaders. Through its ideal educational environment, the Sustainability and Innovation Centre supports DEWA’s endeavours to hone the capacities of youths and equip them with skills to face future challenges. This is achieved by raising their awareness about the importance of sustainability. Furthermore, the centre seeks to encourage them to be creative and innovative, fostering the development of sustainable solutions that support the transition towards clean energy and efforts to achieve net zero.
By the end of the programme, participants will gain expertise in solar energy, energy storage, green hydrogen, pumped-storage hydroelectric power, wind energy, electric mobility, the circular economy, renewable energy financing, innovation and sustainability. The fifth batch of the programme commences on 28 July 2025 and ends on 7 August 2025.
