DEWA employees raise the UAE flag and renew pledge of loyalty to the nation and its wise leadership

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) celebrated Flag Day in a distinguished patriotic atmosphere. HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, raised the UAE flag at Al Shera’a, DEWA’s headquarters. He was joined by DEWA’s Executive Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents and a large number of employees.

“I am honoured to extend my heartfelt congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; Their Highnesses, the Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates; Their Highnesses, the Crown Princes; and all citizens and residents of the UAE on the occasion of Flag Day. This national occasion embodies the noblest values of unity, cohesion, loyalty and belonging. It reflects our pride in our national identity and our deep appreciation for the blessed journey of the Union, whose foundations gave rise to a proud nation that has transformed ambition into achievement and made leadership and excellence enduring hallmarks of its progress. The UAE flag symbolises the nation’s dignity, sovereignty and unity. It stands as a testament to the legacy of the Founding Fathers, who established the Union on the firm foundations of wisdom, determination and collective effort. It also embodies the vision of our wise leadership, which has placed people at the heart of development and made innovation, knowledge and sustainability the cornerstones of progress, positioning the UAE as a global role model for comprehensive development, prosperity and competitiveness,” said Al Tayer.

“On Flag Day, we renew our pledge of loyalty and belonging to our wise leadership and reaffirm our commitment to strengthening the UAE’s achievements and global standing while consolidating Dubai’s leading position in clean and renewable energy and sustainability, supporting the UAE’s comprehensive development and advancing its aspirations for the future. We pray to Almighty Allah to protect our wise leadership and to continue to bestow upon our nation the blessings of security, safety, stability and prosperity. May the UAE flag continue to fly high, symbolising a nation that moves forward with confidence and determination towards a brighter and more sustainable future,” added Al Tayer.

DEWA employees expressed their pride in this national occasion and renewed their pledge of loyalty and belonging to the nation and its wise leadership. They reaffirmed their commitment to continuing their dedicated efforts to protect the nation’s achievements, support its development and prosperity, and contribute to strengthening the UAE’s leading position across all fields. To mark the occasion, DEWA organised a range of heritage activities and events, including the launch of a culturally themed internal website for employees featuring valuable information about the UAE flag, its story and key milestones, as well as other national topics.
