DEWA deploys Intelligence Data Modelling Software for faster operational response
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has reinforced its leadership in artificial intelligence and machine learning through the ‘Intelligence Data Modelling Software Related to the Operational Technology System (IDMS)’. This new innovation analyses data from supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems to support data-driven operational decision-making, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of critical water infrastructure management. The software has been patented in the UAE and is already deployed within DEWA’s Water and Civil Division.

The Sustainability and Innovation Centre of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has consolidated its leading regional position in sustainability capacity building, climate education and innovation-driven collaboration. Unlike traditional awareness initiatives and single-track training programmes, the centre offers a multi-dimensional sustainability experience that actively engages diverse stakeholders, including students, professionals, entrepreneurs, policymakers and the general public.

DEWA advances smart water network performance to cut losses and strengthen global efficiency leadership
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has expanded real-time oversight of Dubai’s water network by adding 205 fully monitored flow‑measurement devices and an equal number of pressure‑monitoring units, while increasing the number of automated remote‑control valves across the distribution network to 198 in 2025. The move strengthens DEWA’s standing as one of the world’s most efficient utilities in limiting water losses.
