DEWA contributes AED20 million in support of Edge of Life campaign

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) announced a contribution of AED20 million in support of the Edge of Life campaign to rescue five million children from hunger, launched in Ramadan by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, with the aim of raising a minimum of AED1 billion to be invested to help fight childhood hunger around the world.

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) stepped up its social responsibility agenda in 2025, the UAE’s ‘Year of Community’, combining large-scale humanitarian contributions with volunteer-driven initiatives across Dubai and beyond. Through programmes and events spanning social support, inclusion, youth development and environmental action, DEWA worked tirelessly to enhance Dubai’s dynamic community by strengthening collaboration and social cohesion while also paving the path for comprehensive and sustainable growth.
