DEWA collaborates with SEE Institute to expand employees’ knowledge of sustainability
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), in collaboration with SEE Institute, organised a training programme titled ‘Empowering DEWA Employees for a Sustainable Future’. The programme aimed to enhance employees' awareness and knowledge of the best international practices and practical skills in key sustainability areas, including the circular economy, utility management and net-zero strategies for utilities.

DEWA receives five prestigious awards from the British Safety Council for 2025
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has received five distinguished awards from the British Safety Council in the 2025 cycle, reaffirming its global leadership and excellence in health and safety, environmental management and institutional well-being. DEWA was awarded the Sword of Honour in Health and Safety for the 18th time, the Globe of Honour in Environmental Management consecutively for the 14th time and the Shield of Honour in Employee Well-being for the second time, DEWA was also awarded with the British Safety Council “Best Entity in the Power and Utilities sector” awards in Environment and Well-Being for the second consecutive year in 2025. This remarkable achievement reflects DEWA’s steadfast commitment to sustainable leadership and its continued advancement of world-class standards in the global utilities sector.

Five DEWA centres receive the ‘Autism Friendly Environment’ certificate
Five Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) centres have received Autism Friendly Environment Certificates (AFC), internationally recognised by the Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board (QABA) and granted by the Dubai Autism Center. This achievement followed the successful compliance of DEWA’s customer happiness centres at the Head Office, the Sustainable Building in Al Quoz, Ibn Battuta Mall, Burj Nahar and Al Twar Centre with all approved requirements and standards. The certifications were awarded following comprehensive assessments covering employee readiness, facility preparedness and the adaptation of services provided to People of Determination with autism, ensuring the provision of an inclusive and safe environment that accommodates their sensory and behavioural needs.
