DEWA’s Marafeq Smart Feature powers 9% annual rise in infrastructure NOC approvals in H1 2025
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) recorded a 9% year-on-year increase in approved applications for no-objection certificates (NOCs) for infrastructure and information services during the first half of 2025. HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, has attributed the growth to the Marafeq Smart Feature, which streamlines NOC issuance, enhances co-ordination with other Dubai utilities and supports the delivery of top-tier government services. Since its launch, the Marafeq Smart Feature has facilitated the approval of 43,816 NOCs up to the end of June 2025.

World Green Economy Summit to discuss climate adaptation, resilience and the most pressing climate action issues
Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the 11th edition of the World Green Economy Summit (WGES) will address many of the most pressing issues in climate action and carbon neutrality. The summit will explore strategies for adapting to the impact of climate change and innovative solutions to enhance climate resilience, reduce risks and increase everyone's ability to cope with the repercussions of global warming.

DEWA strengthens co-operation with leading Chinese companies in clean energy technologies and battery storage systems
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), led a high-level delegation to the People's Republic of China to discuss ways to enhance co-operation and strategic partnerships between DEWA and Chinese companies, particularly in renewable energy. The delegation also explored the exchange of global best practices in solar energy and storage technologies, supporting Dubai's clean energy goals.
