DEWA successfully concludes its 12th Future Engineer Summer Camp

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has honoured graduates of the 12th Future Engineer Summer camp in a special ceremony held at DEWA Academy in Al Hudaiba. A number of DEWA’s officials, graduates and parents were present. DEWA also organised a special exhibition where students demonstrated the skills they gained through hands-on experiences in different scientific courses. The students who took part in the camp gained technical skills in several scientific areas, including 3D printing, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems, robotics, drones, power generation through human effort, the Internet of Things, remote sensing, and cybersecurity systems, in addition to a number of life skills. The camp also included a field visit to the Dubai Scout Mission. DEWA organised this summer camp virtually from 18 to 28 July 2022. A total of 30 children of DEWA employees between 12 and 15 years old took part in the camp.

DEWA praised the efforts of students, supervisors and trainers for making the most of the educational sessions, workshops and field visits provided by DEWA to develop their passion for learning science and technology. This is in line with DEWA’s objectives in consolidating a scientifically advanced and knowledgeable environment. Parents commended DEWA for organising events and activities that introduce knowledge and experiences to students in an interesting way and bring science and technology closer to the new generation by integrating theoretical knowledge with practical applications.

The Future Engineer Camp has attracted 344 students over its past editions. Students’ happiness was 98%, while their parents’ happiness was 100% for the 12th edition of the camp.
