Innovative technologies to produce green hydrogen using clean and renewable energy are witnessing rapid developments and steady progress. Studies indicate that green hydrogen production will increase by 57% annually to reach 5.7 million tonnes in 2030. The UAE aims to acquire 25% of the low carbon hydrogen market, which is expected to reach more than USD 400 billion. The green hydrogen project implemented by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) in cooperation with Expo 2020 Dubai and Siemens Energy at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, is a key project in supporting the UAE's efforts to achieve global competitiveness in the green hydrogen market.

DEWA receives two ISO certifications in Information Security Governance and Information Technology Governance for the third consecutive year

DEWA successfully concludes its 12th Future Engineer Summer Camp

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has honoured graduates of the 12th Future Engineer Summer camp in a special ceremony held at DEWA Academy in Al Hudaiba. A number of DEWA’s officials, graduates and parents were present. DEWA also organised a special exhibition where students demonstrated the skills they gained through hands-on experiences in different scientific courses. The students who took part in the camp gained technical skills in several scientific areas, including 3D printing, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems, robotics, drones, power generation through human effort, the Internet of Things, remote sensing, and cybersecurity systems, in addition to a number of life skills. The camp also included a field visit to the Dubai Scout Mission.

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) implements the best and latest preventive programmes and systems to enhance its leadership of the cable performance in the power distribution network. DEWA’s R&D Centre effectively participates in the 3rd Forum for Women in Research

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) participated in the 3rd Forum for Women in Research organised by the University of Sharjah in conjunction with Emirati Women's Day. DEWA invites Turkish energy and water companies to take part in WETEX and Dubai Solar Show 2022

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organised a virtual seminar with 90 leading Turkish companies in the energy and water sectors. HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD&CEO of DEWA, gave a speech during the seminar, which was attended by 117 participants. In celebration of Emirati Women’s Day 2022, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) held the 8th Emirati Women’s Forum at DEWA Academy in Al Hudaiba.
