ITA Italian Trade Agency Powers Strategic Italian Presence at WETEX 2025
The Italian Trade Agency (ITA) proudly celebrates 12 consecutive years of participation in the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), reinforcing its long-term commitment to driving Italian innovation in the energy, water and sustainability sectors. As Italy’s official government body for international trade promotion, ITA plays a pivotal role in connecting Italian excellence with global markets. At WETEX 2025, which will be held from 30 September to 2 October 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, ITA will lead a robust Italian pavilion featuring 50 exhibitors across 600 square metres, including a dynamic presence of start-ups and emerging innovators. This continued engagement demonstrates ITA’s mission to support Italian businesses in forging meaningful regional partnerships and advancing the UAE’s sustainable development goals.

DEWA combines digital tools and behavioural science to drive summer efficiency gains
This summer, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is leveraging behavioural science to reshape customer habits and boost household efficiency by integrating real-time data and social comparisons into its innovative digital services. The approach – which sends timely notifications and advice tailored to individual consumption patterns – is expected to empower households to make informed decisions to reduce waste and optimise electricity and water consumption. This encourages them to manage their consumption efficiently, and evaluate the positive impacts achieved by increasing consumption efficiency.

DEWA advances employees’ safety and well-being with 92 training sessions in first half of 2025
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organised 92 training courses and awareness sessions on occupational health, safety and quality of life during the first half of 2025, with the participation of 2,066 employees from various divisions. A group of experts highlighted international best practices on risk prevention, emergency preparedness, stress and fatigue management, and ways to promote climate resilience while maintaining safe and healthy environments at home and the workplace.
