DEWA launches two new AI-based tools to support engineering and technical staff
In line with its strategic road map to become the world’s first AI-native utility, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has launched two new tools based on artificial intelligence (AI) to support engineering and technical staff, and accelerate project planning and implementation. These are the Material Insights Agent, a virtual photovoltaic expert and the BRD Generator, which uses generative AI to create Business Requirements Documents.

DEWA Women’s Committee celebrates International Women in Engineering Day 2025
The Women’s Committee of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organised a special event to mark International Women in Engineering Day. This reflects DEWA’s commitment to empowering women in the workplace and strengthening their presence in the engineering sector. The event’s programme featured panel discussions, workshops and a variety of engaging activities, drawing the participation of over 60 female employees from DEWA’s different divisions.
