Irish Minister of Climate, Energy and Environment, and Transport briefed on DEWA’s global leadership and ambitions in solar energy

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), welcomed a high-level delegation led by HE Darragh O’Brien T.D., Minister of Climate, Energy and the Environment, and Minister of Transport of the Republic of Ireland, at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the largest single-site solar park in the world. Discussions centred on opportunities for collaboration in renewable energy and climate change mitigation technologies. Deliberations included global strategies for the transition to clean energy and policies supporting sustainable urban development.

DEWA showcases flagship sustainability projects to high-level delegation under UAE’s Global SDG Leadership Programme

The Sustainability and Innovation Centre of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) welcomed a high-level delegation of 30 leaders from 15 countries, including the UAE, as part of the Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Leadership Programme. DEWA renews three international standards, reinforcing leadership in business continuity and risk management

For the 10th consecutive year, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has successfully renewed three prestigious international certifications issued by the British Standards Institution (BSI). These are the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) ISO 22301 certification, originally obtained in 2016 when DEWA became the first utility in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) to achieve this milestone, the ISO 31000 Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) certification and the BS 11200 standard for Crisis Management.
