DEWA Women’s Committee continues its efforts to enhance female employees’ skills in different areas

The Women’s Committee at Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organised a Skills Day in collaboration with Skill Lab in Dubai, which is managed by young Emiratis. The event aimed to empower female employees through engaging workshops in painting, design, cake and dessert creation, and the preparation of natural beauty products. A total of 60 female employees from various DEWA divisions and departments participated.

Moro Hub Presents Green Certificate to Dubai Police for Hosting IT Workloads at Moro Hub Green Data Centre

Moro Hub, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA, the digital arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (PJSC), presented the Green Certificate to Dubai Police in recognition of its commitment to environmental sustainability by hosting its IT workloads at Moro Hub’s Green Data Centre. The certificate was officially handed over to Brigadier Adnan Ali Mohamed, Deputy Director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence at Dubai Police, by Mohammed Bin Sulaiman, Chief Executive Officer of Moro Hub.

On World Energy Day, DEWA leads efforts to enhance energy efficiency to reach net zero

In conjunction with World Energy Day, observed on 22 October each year and celebrated this year under the theme ‘Leading the Transition to Net Zero’, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has launched an interactive awareness campaign aimed at involving customers and community members in efforts to enhance energy efficiency. The campaign also highlights DEWA’s clean and renewable energy projects and initiatives, and promotes the transition towards a more sustainable future.

World Energy Day: Emphasising the UAE’s lead in promoting the transition to clean and renewable energy

World Energy Day is observed on 22 October each year. HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, approved the initiative that was adopted by 54 countries, representatives from the UN, the Arab League and the African Union at the World Energy Forum 2012 in Dubai.
