Dubai Electricity and Water Authority PJSC shareholders approve one-time payment of AED 2.03 billion in special dividend to shareholdersDubai Electricity and Water Authority PJSC (ISIN: AED001801011) (Symbol: DEWA), the Emirate of Dubai’s exclusive electricity and water services provider, which is listed on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), today held its 2nd general assembly for the year 2022. DEWA’s shareholders have approved the payment of a one-time special dividend of AED 2.03 billion with a record date of 22 December 2022 (with a last entitlement date of 20 December 2022).

DEWA completes 93% of 4th phase of H-Station in Al AweerDubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has completed 93% of the 829 megawatts (MW) 4th phase of the H-Station power plant in Al Aweer with investments totalling AED 1.1 billion. This phase will increase Al Aweer Power Station Complex total capacity to 2,825MW under climate conditions of 50 degrees Celsius and 30% relative humidity. Key testing and commissioning operations have started in Q4, 2022. The project is expected to be operational in Q1, 2023.

DEWA receives 29 EOIs to implement first phase of SWRO desalination project at Hassyan complexDubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has received 29 expressions of interest (EOIs) to implement the first phase of its 120 Million Gallons Per Day (MIGD) Hassyan Sea Water Reverse Osmosis Plant (SWRO) Project using the Independent Water Producer (IWP) model. This is the first project implemented by DEWA using the IWP model, which will run in phases during 2025 and 2026.
